Hi! I'm Theresa!

Hi, I'm Theresa, and this is what I know for sure:

I know that healing is always possible, but it doesn't always look like you expected.

I know that you may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.

I know that the mind affects the body, and the body affects the mind, but the spirit overrules both.

I know that it takes courage to be gentle with yourself.

I know that it takes discipline to choose self-compassion over self-judgement.

I know that your habits determine your health more so than the supplements that you take. You can't out-supplement an unhealthy diet.

I know that the best medicine is the one that works- whether it's puppy-kisses, yoga, or surgery.

I know that the cracks are where the light gets in.

I know that joy is as meaningful as sorrow.

I know that eventually, everything connects.

This Is Where I Come From

Dr. Camozzi grew up in the magical town of Revelstoke, BC. Health, nature, and living well were all values instilled in her by both her parents and her extensive extended family.

After graduating from Revelstoke Secondary School, Theresa moved to Calgary where she spent four years studying Biology, with a half year exchange to the University of Groningen in the Netherlands where she learned more about molecular biology and genetic research. After attaining her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, Theresa worked as a research assistant in the Faculty of Continuing Medical Education at the University of Calgary. It was there that she learned about Naturopathic Medicine. She moved to Toronto where she spent the next four years studying Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She completed residencies in Family Medicine at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and at the Community PHA Naturopathic Clinic at Sherbourne Health Centre providing Naturopathic care free of charge to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Since moving to back to British Columbia in 2011, Theresa has practiced Naturopathic Medicine in both Revelstoke and Vancouver. She has a strong interest in mental health, and mind-body-spirit medicine. In 2016, she and her sister, Talia (a registered clinical counselor),  co-wrote a book called Healing Winter SAD to address one of the most common concerns she sees in her practice.

When she's not researching treatment plans for her patients or attending her latest continuing education classes, Theresa can usually be found adventuring with her daughter and sister in the forest, giving community talks, or moderating the Revelstoke MastHERmind - the 500+ woman-strong online community that she founded in 2015 with her sister (Talia Camozzi) and their friend (Jackie McDonald).

She loves creating and appreciating art, moving her body, cooking for people she loves, visiting her far-away friends, making herbal medicines, reading tarot cards, moon-gazing, mending treasured teddy bears (and chicks), and lingering far too long in crystal and book stores.
